SPACE, LIGHT, IMAGE, SOUND, PUBLIC: THE EVOLUTION OF IMMERSIVE ART FROM LIGHT ART TO DIGITAL ART EXPERIENCES

Within the framework of the LuzMadrid Festival 2021 is this conference on the Italian artist Stefano Fake organised by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Madrid.

Stefano Fake is a pioneer and one of the leading artists of this new form of artistic expression: the so-called immersive digital art experience. These audiovisual installations are designed to immerse the viewer in the artwork using digital technology and mesmerising video projections.
In collaboration with his studio THE FAKE FACTORY, the artist boasts 20 years of experience and more than 60 immersive exhibitions to great public and critical acclaim. The Art of Colors, the Caravaggio Experience, the Van Gogh Experience, the Klimt Experience, the Monet Experience, and Inside Magritte are just some of the titles that have contributed to the global success of these digital experiences, attracting millions of visitors around the world.
In this conference, Stefano Fake takes us on a journey through his artistic career, revealing what led him to the creation of these multimedia pieces. He will give an overview of the history of light art, which dates back to 1910 and the artists of the futurism movement, including the comprehensive cinema of Peter Greenaway and today’s immersive exhibitions using digital technology.

Organizado por el Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Madrid, se presenta en al ámbito del Festival Luzmadrid 2021 la conferencia del artista italiano Stefano Fake.

Stefano Fake es un pionero y uno de los principales intérpretes de esta nueva forma de expresión artística que se define como immersive digital art experience, y consiste en todas aquellas instalaciones audiovisuales que tienen como objetivo sumergir al espectador dentro la obra misma, mediante tecnologías digitales y video proyecciones monumentales.
Junto con su estudio THE FAKE FACTORY, ha realizado a lo largo de 20 años de experimentación más de 60 exposiciones inmersivas con un gran éxito de crítica y público. The Art of Colors, Caravaggio Experience, Van Gogh Experience, Klimt Experience, Monet Experience o Inside Magritte, son solo algunos de los títulos que han contribuido a convertir las exposiciones digitales en un éxito mundial, con millones de visitantes a nivel global.
En esta conferencia Stefano Fake nos explicará cuál ha sido el recorrido artístico que le ha llevado a la realización de estas obras multimedia, con una panorámica de los precedentes históricos del light art, que se remontan a las ideas de los artistas futuristas en 1910, pasando por el cine expansivo de Peter Greenaway hasta llegar a las actuales exposiciones inmersivas que utilizan tecnologías digitales.
